Summary
Registration for orientation is required. Volunteer orientation is held at the Humane Society of the Black Hills, 1820 E. St. Patrick St. Orientation lasts between 30 and 45 minutes. If you're going to be more than 5 minutes late, please find an alternate date that works better for your schedule. You must complete orientation to volunteer at the Humane Society of the Black Hills. Please bring completed volunteer contact information and related forms to orientation.

Volunteers are a vital part of the Humane Society of the Black Hills and help us meet our mission to care for the lost, homeless and forgotten. Volunteers contribute thousands of hours each year and help ensure the animals here are socialized, happy, and healthy while they wait to be adopted.
